Dr. Douglas Porr

Dr. Douglas Porr is a native of Wooster, Ohio. He completed his undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and graduating summa cum laude. He then attended the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree in 2015 and was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society.

Following dental school, Dr. Porr commissioned as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy and completed a three-year residency in Prosthodontics at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School. During this time, he also earned a Master’s Degree in Oral Biology from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. After completing his prosthodontic training, Dr. Porr achieved board certification and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Prosthodontics. He went on to serve at Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, where he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander.

After seven years of naval service, Dr. Porr returned home to Ohio to complete a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. His clinical interests include dental implant therapy, dentoalveolar surgery, facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, bone grafting, full-arch implant rehabilitation, and the delivery of in-office anesthesia. With advanced training in both prosthodontics and oral and maxillofacial surgery, Dr. Porr brings a comprehensive perspective to implant dentistry, oral rehabilitation, and surgical patient care.

Dr. Porr is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, and the Ohio Dental Association.

Outside of work, Dr. Porr enjoys traveling, snowboarding, playing tennis and golf, trying new restaurants, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Radhika, a general dentist practicing in Granville, have two children, Griffin and Madeline. After years of traveling with the Navy, they are thrilled to put down roots in Central Ohio.
